My favorite June read is…

I can not believe that June is just about over. This year is just flying right on by isn’t it?! I didn’t even think that I had that much time to read this month, but I’m happy to say that I read 5 books and 3 comics this month! WOO HOO!! June has definitely been one of the best reading months so far this year. My favorite book (ha how about books) this month are milk and honey and The House of Bradbury! If you haven’t read either of those you need to add them to your summer reading list. They’re amazing!! I still haven’t been able to put all of my thoughts together for milk and honey… it blew me away. I can’t wait to share the full review soon.

I’d love to know what your favorite June read was so please leave it down below in the comments! Happy Thursday friends!!

Book Review: Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

“And it was a kiss that felt like it could stop time.”

A great Summer read | 4/5 stars | Buy your copy of Since You’ve Been Gone

Overview: Emily returns home from a vacation to find her best friend, Sloane, has disappeared. When a letter arrives from Sloane, Emily immediately opens it. Inside is a list of 13 things she must do over Summer. Emily sets out to complete the list in hopes that it will lead her to more clues or the whereabouts of her best friend.

What I loved: Watching Emily’s character develop, the real and relatable relationships between the characters, a love interest that started with a solid friendship, the playlists!

What I didn’t: Not getting closure with Collins and Dawn, slightly annoyed with Sloane.

If you liked Paper Towns then: this one is for you! All the vibes of Paper Towns 😉

Book Haul: December 2015

I can happily say I looooove it!

It’s always helpful to look back at the goals you’ve set out to accomplish. Do a little check in of sorts and just see how things are going because life is constantly changing. Things come up. So to help me cope with all the madness of day to day life, I make lists. Like I mentioned, touching base with those lists is extremely helpful in keeping order in all the chaos. To do this, I’m throwing it back for the next week or two of posts. I want to take a step back to reevaluate what I’ve set out to do and alter anything that doesn’t seem to fit where I want to go in the future. To start us off, I’m going back to December when I first set out to achieve my bookish goals. I started a YouTube Channel and a Bookstagram and was determined to relieve stress, get creative, have fun, and make new friends.

Today’s video walks you through the 12 books I collected during December and the first week of January. I was so excited for this lovely little stack on my shelf. I had just started reading Before We Were Strangers and now months later I can happily say I looooove it! I’ll leave the complete list below of books that I picked up along with whether or not I’ve gotten around to reading it yet. I’d love to know which ones you’ve read and recommend or which ones are on your TBR still too 😉
