Wrap Up: March 2016

My favorite read this month would be…

March was a crazy month and while I didn’t get to every book I had hoped, I’m happy with what I was able to read. My favorite read during March would have to be Me Before You. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it and the movie was pretty great too!

Book Review: The One That Got Away by Leigh Himes

She now had the “perfect” life, however it quickly made her realize just how much she was wrong.

Great Summer Read | 4/5 stars | Buy your copy of The One That Got Away

Overview: Abbey is a mom of two who’s doing her best to balance motherhood, being the perfect wife, and work, but she’s overworked and stressed. So when she finds out her husbands business is in trouble, she’s left with more than she can handle and forced to return that gorgeous red Marc Jacobs bag she bought for herself. While attempting to make the return she ends up falling and finds herself in an alternate universe. She now has the “perfect” life, however she quickly realizes it’s not at all what it seems.

What I loved:
How easily I connected with the main character. It was humorous, fun, and light making it perfect for Summer. Definitely had some Freaky Friday vibes! The ending was perfection.

What I didn’t: A little slow in places.

If you liked The Devil Wears Prada or Freaky Friday then: this one is for you because its a perfect mash up of the two!

TBR: March 2016

Books I wanted to read in March. I was a little ambitious!

I had a slightly ambitious TBR for March and sadly I didn’t get to them all… but that’s life I suppose. I can’t wait to share what I actually did read (full reviews coming soon!) I started The Swans of Fifth Avenue that month and when I couldn’t get into it, I set it aside and moved on to another. I have finally finished it, but it did take me two months. Have you ever had a book that you struggled with?
