Overview: Max had an extremely rough childhood yet with his mothers love and support he was able to excel in school and become financially stable. As it turns out though, it wasn’t enough. He begins to question his own life, his surroundings, and his happiness. In a moment, he drops everything and takes off for India where a spiritual journey awaits.

What I loved: It made me question life and what really matters, challenged my believes, and brought joy and heartache. The descriptions were vivid. A refreshing read about determination, self discovery, and enlightenment.

What I didn’t: Another rags to riches story (but slightly different), some of the things that occurred were a little far fetched for me to wrap my mind around.

If you liked Big Magic, The Secret, or Eat, Pray, Love, or then: you’ll enjoy this one.
